Christian Malford Scarecrow Trail 2014 will be a two day event and will take place over the weekend of the 29th/30th March from 10am till 4pm both days. This year it will be jointly organised by Acorns and Friends of School. The proceeds will be split equally between the two organisations therefore benefitting more of the children from the area.
The theme for this years trail is Heroes and Villains. They could be from films, cartoons, television or even real life. The deadline for entries is Friday 14th February. You can email your entries to email@example.com, or seal in an evelope and pass to Laura or hand in at the shop. Please include, Scarecrow name, your name and address and contact number and what family name you want on your Scarecrow, (e.g. The Smith Family, The Smith children, John and Jane Smith). Once your entry is received Laura will contact you to confirm your registration, (no duplicates allowed) and then you can start building. Please note even if you live outside the village you can still build a Scarecrow and we can place your Scarecrow on some of the village common ground within the route.
If you do not wish to build a Scarecrow, but can offer your help on the day, all volunteers will be very welcome as we will be serving hot and cold refreshments, homemade cakes, face painting and also doing a raffle. Any donations towards the raffle would also be greatly appreciated.
If you have any business or service you wish to promote, there is an opportunity this year to sponsor a Scarecrow. For £30 you can have your company name next to a Scarecrow, in the Scarecrow programme, and you can have a flyer or freebie in our goody bags which will be given to the first 50 entrants to the trail each day.
